The CBE JU Call for proposals 2023 has officially closed, marking a significant step in advancing the bioeconomy sector.

The Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) is a €2 billion partnership between the European Union and the Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC) that funds projects advancing competitive circular bio-based industries in Europe.

Bioeconomy focuses on the sustainable production and use of biological resources (such as crops, forestry, and marine resources) to generate products, materials, and energy that can thus help achieving the goal of creating more sustainable food systems and reducing the environmental impact of agriculture and food production. By addressing these challenges, the bioeconomy sector can thus be extremely relevant for the SFS Partnership.
