Flying as a “Partnership” towards a sustainable future

Guidelines and lessons learned for building a partnership in the food domain

The FOODPathS project is proud to present its latest resource: a handbook for pragmatic changemakers. This guide captures three years and half of intensive research and stakeholder engagement, moving the conversation beyond why sustainable food systems are necessary and what they should look like, to the critical question of HOW to achieve them through inclusive collaboration.

The Handbook is a summary of a more exhaustive Manual developed by FOODPathS.

Why This Handbook Matters

The challenges facing our global food systems—from climate change and biodiversity loss to malnutrition and social inequality—demand immediate, collective action. This handbook is explicitly for individuals and groups ready to mobilize collective intelligence by bringing diverse roles, expertise, and perspectives together.

The handbook is designed to empower anyone willing to partner and act—at local, regional, national, or global levels—to drive food system change. Key elements of the Handbook include:

  • Guidelines on how to build an inclusive partnership based on a successful systems approach.

  • Lessons learned from three years of real-world cases where food system actors joined forces around shared sustainability goals.
